Nicely done Thomas! I concur with all your points made. This is an outstanding simulation and I hope we can get the word out on it.

I bought and downloaded WOP and was totally surprised. Deleted it right away and cursed a blue streak at myself for wasting 24 bucks. One thing I did love. The music. It was great.

Mind if I ask what you hated so bad about it? It is different, granted, but it's fun. What did you find repulsive?

Can I just say one more time that this is the most beautiful, realistic terrain I have EVER seen in a sim.

And that to me is very important. One of the reasons as much as I like IL-2, I often cringe at the screen, god those trees, etc were poorly done and monotonous.

If they had some sort of mission builder, where one could construct campaigns (havent got my copy yet), I would probably play this sim before any others.

Darn, I wish Hackl would have sold me his for 24 bucks, but I guess he got the downloaded version.

Nice review, very good use of graphics to illustrate your article.

You make a good point about what Wings of Prey has right: no CTDs ie a very stable game. A lot of people have trouble managing the download/install/update side of things via steam and yuplay, which is a shame, because once in the game, it is very stable. I've played many hours and never had a CTD or freeze, never had the framerate drop in larger dogfights etc.

I sincerely hope the devs come through with the mission builder to give the sim this life it deserves.

a ME is a must have, the lack of it diminished my enjoyment of Strike Fighters 1 & 2 , hopefully that will not happen with Wings of Prey.

Nice review, Tom, good read. It is a beautiful sim with one thing that bugs the crap out of me- the P-51D FM is HOSED. Straight up too slow, and a Mustang in WoP can't even catch up to a lowly 109 rust bucket. Killed it for me.

It's great. Get it. Then get Wings of the Luftwaffe add-on for like 10 bucks.

Beautifull sim, but much overrated INGHO. Four stars was it you gave it? To me about two and one half. But I will leave my final judgement until I see the hoped-for patches and whatever.
