From the ROF general discussion forum today regarding release of next patch, presumably to be releaased this week-

ROF Forum
Quote:

It will be no patch - it will be a complete new version of the game... wink

I'm wondering if there will be new aircraft in addition to the announced DVII F mod. I personally look forward to big bombers, at least as AI planes.

Just bought the D VIII in support of neoqb's efforts. This sounds quite interesting, and so far have been very happy with the progress of RoF these last few patches.

I hope Friday is the day.... but will be patient should it take a smidge longer.

Hope its landscape related, that would be the dogs proverbials....they can take as long as they like in my book, so long as its good and glitch free. Smile2 Fixing the online palaver is more important to me though, its around 50/50 chance of getting CTD's my end on online servers with exe/memory errors....Not good.

Funny thing is that the game is 100% stable for me. No crashes whatsoever. Never had the exe error or sound related issues, although i use an X-FI card. But i hope they finally got the SLI thing working. I have to fly withought the multiGPU feature, or i am suffering severe graphical glitches. The game doesn't even run any faster with both cards working together. AFAIK, they planned SLI and DX11 support for early 2010. That would fit pretty good i'd say.

I think Lefty exaggerated....as I heard well have a new rain and some other minor graphic improvements..nothing big....but all this is welcome ofcourse....

I would like to see better optimisation, better tools for server admins, fixing lag, improved DM and LOD etc...

The game runs perfectly for me as well,no stability issues for me at all,so I hope that does not change with the update.

Ogami_musashi,

I think you will have to explain your relationship to ROF for the benefit of members here.

Regarding Lefty's comments, I think he uses too many Winking Smileys, but I'm looking forward to the patch.

I'm beta tester for ROF which TVRDI knows cause on the official forums beta testers are indicated under their name.

As far as release date i can't comment due to NDA of course but also because release date relies on bugs found and corrected.

I understand that. Better fix the bugs now than to live with it for another 2 months.

Until, the latest update 2.010 every update prior was problem free.

I do hope and pray that the future updates do not force many to have to go through what they seem to go through in tryin to keep their configurations running.
