A few alterations done, probably more to do. First set is the from the Cockpit plus an overall shot from above. ExternalsWhat do you think? I have tinkered a bit further, but only the propellar hub in motion/stopped. Please comment as all good/bad are very welcome Splash

This pictures above show the disruptive pattern (Lozenge) that I used from the stock template. I've been working on my own, this will replace the stock one and might take a few days to complete. Lozenge Pattern WIP Anybody got any crayons? Splash

I found a picture which to me is very similar to the Lozenge pattern in the drawing. Below is a link showing an Fokker VII with Lozenge pattern off the internet Sketch is 180 degress out. http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb11/desertman888/Dudochnicht.jpgI started the blank Lozenge again as I thought the pattern was crap (see previous post). I now have this (See Below) but I still have to tinker with the colours mainly yellowish. I've based this lozenge pattern on womenfly2's recomendation Mark Miller. The two pictures are slightly different in Satuation/hue and contrast. As I see this all the time I can't make up my mind which is better. If I had to decide I would go for the left one and make it slightly lighter. 1) Which do you think, left or right? 2) Is the lozenge pattern in the photo close to the original drawing provided? Your thoughts please. Splash

Splash, I would not go with the colors of Dan's artwork for the Lozenge pattern. From what he stated in other posts, there was only one set of standard colors used in Lozenge patterns on the fighters, not saying here that there are tonal differences from printed batch-to-batch, or how the colors faded. This applies to 4 and 5 colored Lozenge patterns too. I would stay, true, to what the wings Lozenge pattern on the stock D.IIIa in RoF. BTW, the plane in the photo is not even close, ..... yuk! Mark Miller did a great study of this and that is what I would go with from a historical point. No one really knows the exact colors on these plane, we can only interpret them as best one can from B & W photos. So, I would say stay with the Lozenge pattern colors in your post #2964410. JMHO, Cheers! Great job by the way ......

That is picture perfect! ...... and what Catfish said! The Lozenge is dead on, best color I have seen so far, awesome job. What would it look like with a hint of Lozenge showing through the white and cream? Just a weathering effect I was thinking.

If anybody wants it let me know and I will upload it. I will see what the Lozenge is like under the white when I get home from work. If you find anymore pictures/sketches send them on. Splash
