Thanks much, Patrick. Worked like a charm; I ended a dozen or more such java.ew's. I've learned something new.

What I had been doing was trying to add a few words to the Combat report for each shootdown by adding text in the *.campaign file. Works like a charm, now, though there is a string limitation as to length so comments must be very short, such as "crash landed", or "down in flames", or "mid-air explosion"...etc

Is there a possibility in the future of lengthening the string restriction so that one might add more detailed/extensive comments as in a 'Log" or "Diary" or "Post-mission Debriefing"? Is it possible to add such a feature into the Application interface so one can type in comments just as one now types in the numeral for number of kills?

Adding aces is a very difficult process. Getting aces into other squadrons is fairly straight forward and, in fact, is done. Dealing with all of the things that have to happen when an ace is in your squadron gets very complex. They have to replace an AI squadron mate but use very different logic. Working on it again.

Doolittle Raider: the text of a has the following limitations:
1. It must be between the quotes
2. It must be before the semi-colon
3. it must be on one line.

Beyond that it is a Java string and not of fixed length.

Patrick,

Question for ya if you got time.

Previously installing the campaign generator has not caused me any problems. However, now since installing all the various paints, (the only thing I've done since the last time,) it seems that the generator now has a problem finding Axis aircraf to finish writing missions.

I can install it as I normally do, (at least I think I'm doing it right,) and then I go and create a pilot and then ask for my first generated mission and it gets started and then produces an error dialog box saying that the axis aircraft can't be found.

Any idea?

Here's another one if I might ask:

I took off from Baizieux but I didn't go for the mission, but I wanted to check out Vert Galant and Bertangles, because they are historically modeled, not only sample airfields. However, I couldn't see any buildings there. Why is that? Is it an option while generating missions in order to save FPS?

Is there any way to get it populated by default? Is it possible to modify a squadron's home base?

Thanks in advance

Any solution for the "access denied" in Vista when the generator tries to write the campaign mission to the folder? I don't want to have to reinstall in a new directory (it's in Program Files\Rise of Flight).

Pat first thanks for all the efforts
Noticed that your RoF campaign contains photo's and medals but they do not show up, so what to do in the Campaign mode adjustments or do I something wrong here???

Pat, there is no claim for Balloons btw

Found another bug:
Sometimes some of my wingmen spawn without pilots, so none of them would take off with me :S
