In my search to make RoF run on my Rig, I have encountered some alternative drivers for Creative SB. This could be the solution if you are facing Creative sound troubles

Please Let me know if its helping or not and share your experience on this forum.
BTW use something like a driver remover from 3dguru to get rid of the old drivers.

XPme and XPpro, both32 bit. Only kxproject is not working because my soundcard, AudigySE 7.1 does not have the right audio chip. PAX and SB-P17X are creative driver mods, only kx is something complete different but complex. Pax is running on my XPpro/RoF boot and SB-P17x on my Internet/office/video boot [=XPme]. Two drivers are still in testing phase on my rig and I have, [same with the official creative drivers, btw], no sound-card related problems.
