Anyone getting RB3D to run on Win 7? I have the game installed but it crashes shortly after the intro movie starts up. Tried options like Admin and XP compatability, but no go.

Mine works, on Win 7 x64. Not playing too much nowadays, though. What glide wrapper are you using? If you want, i'll tell you my relevant specs about computer+RB setup when i get home later.

I also have Win 7 x64 but no glide wrapper, just a clean install of RB3D off the disc. The game installed okay, and it will run the intro movie okay, but crashes as soon as the movie is done.

I had the same in Vista too, so I think its more Vidcard related than OS. I assume its the fullscreen menu which causes the problem. Give a try to the multiplayer part, for me it is working fine, but runs in window mode.
Oh, and my card is: ATI Radeon 3850

Oh, and my card is: ATI Radeon 3850 I dunno what to try. I have an ATI 4850 video card. I tried DL Gabi's glide emulator, but that makes no difference. I can open the Multiplayer option screen in windowed mode, but I don't want to play Multi, I want to get the single player game to run.

Could it be the Indeo codecs? RB needs them to play the movies, but without them the movies wouldn't play at all. I have only heard about the Indeo codecs and problems in later Windows OS:es and have no real knowledge about this. There is probably someone else that knows more about it. S!

it runs for me in windowed mode, as I mentioned above. Let's see if it works for you: baron.exe -windowed

-windowed is a command line parameter. Basically you can use it in two different way: A, type the command "baron.exe -windowed" into a command prompt after navigating to the dir of rb3d (wincommander users has some advance here)
B, Create a new shortcut for baron.exe (or you can use the normal shortcut, since this small change can be reverted easily) right click on the shortcut > Properties In the shortcut properties window, on the shortcut tab there is a target parameter. For me its: D:\Games\SIERRA\RedBaron3D\Baron.exe So I change it to: D:\Games\SIERRA\RedBaron3D\Baron.exe -windowed
apply changes, start, and it works... or not. hopefully yes.
LEt me know if you managed to do it, and sorry for my english, there's a lot more room for improvement.

Also, after choosing a gameplay option, such as Fly Now or Campaign, the game will switch over to full screen, so I don't play the actual game windowed, only the menu selection screen. The only problem now is the joystick. The game doesn't see it at all, and all control is done via the keyboard only. XP had no problem seeing the joystick, and I can't remember ever having to mess around trying to get it to work.
