Hi to everyone
I modified the plane`s weapons (canons and machine guns) and I used the 1.28 patch, but that did not work, I think it was because of the archive "PLANES.DAT"...
I remember that with the 1.26 patch it worked perfectly...

What do you think??

Thank you.

The "rate of fire", the guns convergence, the position and the range get adjusted in the 262a.flt.

Only the caliber, number of bullets, sound and gunslot get adjusted in the planes.dat.

That depends to what you changed.

For example the gunpower must be 2,4,12 or 24, otherwise you would need a other gun text file.

I extracted "planes.dat" from the "Data.cdf" to my EAW folder. I already has Airgrid in my EAW folder. I ran Airgrid, which by default read the extracted "planes.dat" file

I selected the 262 and changed both gun group 1 and gun group 2(shown here) from 30mm to 20 mm cannon.
I then saved "planes.dat", ran eaw, and flew the 262 with no problems.

What did you do?

I have already tried all the steps from above...
I modified the aircraft data and click on "Save planes.dat"
But it did not work....

Thanks again...

Well if planes.dat worked properly before the change there is no question that it should work properly after the change from 30mm to 20mm. The cause of the problem must be elsewhere.
