we will miss you franx, but there will be plenty of other races coming-up. Get home in time for the SuperBowl (if you like the NFL).

Agreed, it's that 4 letter word again: time.

Can you give me a couple of examples? We have the Reference Forum. Beyond that?

Any volunteers to do a "connecting to the SimHQ Teamspeak server"? TS3 has some problems I'm waiting to see resolved before we move to it. I need to update the multiplayer.html page date.

Example #1: Installing an rFactor mod. If it has an .exe that's pretty easy. But if it's a .rar then it usually involves some cut and paste. Something like that was done once, perhaps by Joe (?).

Example #2: Installing an rF/GTR2 track. Usually done via .7z or .rar or .zip. Using screen shots and some arrows/circles to highlight the process.

Example #3: Fixing a 'mismatch' in rF online. At least the usual culprits.

Example #4: Getting into the rF or GTR2 servers for MP. This is just a set of screen shots, really.

Example #5: Tweaking rF for online racing. Show what items are best to tone down for framerates, the headlights trick, etc. And setup of the Multiplayer settings (128 kbps is the current setting). Again, all screen grabs here.

Those are just the ones I can think of right now. Mostly it's just taking some screens, and linking them with a bit of text.

Doug will put your number up on the first post of this thread. That's where you'll find all the pertinent info (except the stuff that isn't there...) smile

Welcome to the race.

If tomorrows race is as good as Saturday's practice races, it will be an exciting event.

Ok, this is going to be my last post here.

Is the SimHQ server updated with the latest update from the VHR website? There have been two, (latest is called Upgrade Patch 2.0) since its release. Do not assume that the download from the VHR website of 1gb, has the updates. The Upgrade Patch is separate and they do not change the version number. The server must be upgraded as well as the users.
Guys still show up in VHR without the updates and a mismatch error is given.
