Maybe with the checkered flag out before I crossed the s/f line in the pits the game assumed I hadn't done my penalty pit before race's end? Who knows. Still a lot of fun. Just weird that I didn't just exit the car at the end, I kept driving. It didn't score me as 6th until I exited the car. I was 4th all the way to that point. I would have thought the game would score me 6th while still in-car, and not show a different result after the game exit. Certainly interesting.

Joe's explanation sounds quite plausible though.

Bit of a late race review, but good racing everyone, I couldn't understand why we weren't running two wide though , numerous times I went to the outside hoping someone would follow me but to no avail. I got damage and after that I could no longer run the proper speeds. Will be there in Texas.

I think we'd have needed to try it more in practice. There was some there, but not much. I personally would have liked to see if you could pass on the high line in VHR. Never tried it, as I was happy with the low line.

I went high a few times in the big pack, and with some other cars up there as well it worked fine. I found it significantly more difficult to hold my line up there without weaving, however; being able to use the double yellow line as a guide is very helpful to me being smooth, and you can only do it on the low line.
