I have never even seen it, as it went down just as I was dusting of my copy of AF for "one more attempt to fly this damn thing". Then spent Christmas decamped with the original 4.0 manual which, again, I had from buying F4 when it came out but couldn’t fathom the radar, (so on the shelf it went for ten years).

I am now flying AF (sort of) with cougar (rebuilt) and could really use the knowledge on both that was apparently lost when Frugals went down.

I hope some bugger hasn’t hijacked his domain name. Frugals carpets?

Yep, the people at Frugals are an amazing source on Falcon. It will be nice to see it back up. Looking forward to it. You also might want to try the following in your re-education in Falcon.

Falcon Training AARs

And this one...look at tutorials on left hand pane.

The Panther Den

Cheers.

Tnanks enigma. I was getting pretty good with my Cyborg Evo. Working my way through a campaign......then...i....got..a...proper...HOTAS.

Cougar + Foxy = a week of WTF???? TOO MANY BUTTONS''%~~ERROR£$%^BRAINDUMP>>

Now the mist is clearing a little. Flying LOMAC as light relief. Will go back to AF once frugals is back up. Invested in Hi-Tiles AF+Ayes pits. Brings it up to date. Sort of.

Unless FC2 comes out first. OR DCS:A-10

I have a soft spot for F4 though. That manual! Although, as a Win7 / NVIDIA user i am pretty much barred from FF5.3 or OF so i dont bother with them.

Wonder what Gilman Louie is up to these days? Falcon 5.0 anybody? Ubisoft?

lol, yeah!

I will ignore all ideas for new works and engines of war, the invention of which has reached its limits and for whose improvement I see no further hope.

I hate to rain on the parade, but all the http://frugalsworld.com does is point to a FreeDNS advertisement...

Does anyone have his email? He may still be having technical or personal problems. If it's technical, we may be able to help. There are enough tech boffins here I am sure.

Hell, we are refurbishing our comms room at work so I could throw a couple of servers his way for free, then all he needs is bandwidth, a database backend, a web frontend and then a cold beer!

That was kind of my thought, too. Might it indicate that Frug has abandoned the domain name and somebody scarfed it up? Great domain name for a cheap online outlet store of some sort.

No it means the DNS is active, but the site has expired, and the name is getting quite a few hits off of searches, so the host is taking advantage of that to get some free advertising...

Or at least that is what I think it means! lol...
