Yeah, it's been a week off between the AFC/NFC championship and the SB for as long as I can remember. This is the first year that the pro bowl has been stuffed in there though. I bet the players are thrilled to go to Miami instead of Hawaii.

I think it's better to move the pro bowl to this week. I haven't watched it in years and I might watch it this year. When they play it after the SB, it just doesn't hold any interest for me.

I still won't watch the pro bowl, I can't remember the last time I watched it and racing season starts this weekend with the Daytona 24.

If I remember, one of yesterday's commentators said that most of the starters for the Super Bowl would not play in the Pro Bowl. That makes sense, why risk an injury in a frankly meaningless game and miss out on the SB?

I hadn't heard about the pro bowl being moved. What a nutty way to do it.
I wouldn't allow a single player of mine to play if I was heading to the superbowl.

I don't even know why they keep the Pro Bowl. I guess for recognition and another payday for the players and a vacation trip. Fine. And I get why they moved it in between the playoffs and the SB. Kind of keep the momentum going. Fine. But I agree with Wheels, if I had a SB team, no player on that team would play in the Pro Bowl.

Now. As to the winner of the SB, I've got some time, so I'll think upon it. I'm leaning Colts right now.

My heart is with Indy in the Superbowl but I picked the Saints as a joke to go all the way in week two, possibly sooner.
Unless something drastic changes with them I am going to stick with it until the end.

tick, tick, tick...

Game day is approaching boys. Anyone care to put down an early pick? I myself, I'm going to wait, just in case there's a key practice injury or such.

And remember, Tom C will be handing out prizes to the first, second, and third place winners in our pool! Yes, I heard that somewhere...

I already picked the Colts and am rooting for the Saints. I hope I lose this one.
