2-2 here also. The one I felt the most confident about was the SD game. There were so hot going into it. I felt like momentum was going to be big going into the playoffs this and it basically turned out to be nothing. Look at the teams that are left and all of them were losing going into the playoffs except the Jets.

AFC Championship
Jets at Colts - Jets because I think the Colts won't be able to stop the run.

NFC Championship
Vikings at New Orleans - Saints

3 and 1 here. Chargers defense really fell flat on its face.

Well the thing about the Colt's not going for the record is pretty much a non issue at the moment. It could turn out to be huge if the Jets beat them. The Jets were one of the teams they tanked against. It could come back to bite them in the ass.

At least I don't *hate* any of the teams that might go to the Super Bowl. I will be rooting for the NFC team that wins. I really like Peyton Manning, but I am an NFC kind of guy. I am hoping for the Saints.

I would think the 3 missed field goals were more of the problem in their loss.

Just read this and I thought it was pretty cool.

Quote:
The moment I liked most from the weekend happened Sunday night, in the bowels of Qualcomm Stadium, where Marty Schottenheimer had coached the Chargers for five seasons, and where he shockingly was fired after going 14-2 and losing an opening playoff game.

Marty's boy, Brian, the offensive coordinator of the Jets, had just done his part Sunday orchestrating an offense with a rookie quarterback and a rookie running back into an upset of the Chargers that left the locals just as deflated as they were in 2006. And as a light rain fell on this crumbling place, Brian took out his cell phone, dialed his dad's number, heard him say, "Hello,'' and son said to father: "Dad, this one's for you.''

I always liked Marty. He is one of those coaches who always pushed his players hard, but they loved him for it.

I am getting to the point where I have a lot of respect for Brian Shottenheimer. He also turned down a chance to interview for the Bill's head coaching postition. He said he's really happy where he is and doesn't want to leave. In today's age where people will do almost anything for money, he knows himself and being happy is much more important to him than money.

I am not a Jets fan, but this kid makes it hard not to root for him to do well.

I see how you are. You picked the opposite of me. You figure that way you can't lose.
