I also used TortoiseGIT, messyhead. I followed the instructions on EECH Central to the letter: I clicked on an empty folder and selected "Clone GIT" from the context menu.

Actually, looking at the URL your using I think it might be wrong. You need to copy the one from the top right of the repositories screen when your in eech-dev. I'll pm you it, not sure if it's ok to post it here or not.
