Jeez what a battle!

We flew an intercept, with Roller and I in Doras, and Ralf in a 109G.
Dumo decided to escort the bombers in a Spit 9



The upshot was that Roller and I managed to shoot down most of the Liberators, thanks to respawn being on. However, eventually we ran out of planes and could only watch an incredible duel between Dumo and Ralf on F9 as the sun set in the West.

I thought this was Ralf but the plane Dumo destroyed here was one of Ralf's AIs....


..a few seconds later Ralf got Dumo


The battle went on for ages, Ralf's plane was damaged and he went to base- a smart move. Dumo followed him, but Ralf's base was very heavily defended by light AAA. Try as he might to take them out, Dumo's planes were destroyed by it, and eventually he could not respawn.

It was great entertainment on F9. Great flying guys!

I got great pleasure in watching Ralf and Gus duel!
Ralf's G was faster, but Gus's spit could turn better......
Ralf's choices in manuevering were excellent......and Gus knows
how to keep the enemy in front of him....
I was amazed to see Ralf split-S and just miss being a lawn-dart
by inches....same with Gus as he followed......Gus would manage to
get a few shots off while Ralf was trying to extend, but then Ralf
would go vertical.......so would Gus......but Ralf could stay just
far enough away because of the better speed, and hang up there....Gus
would have to put his nose down and turn away......that's when Ralf
would drop down and take some shots.....If Gus managed to avoid, Ralf
would overshoot and extend away.......
But the best part was when Gus finally got a good speed and height advantage...
he was getting some good pings on Ralf and gaining on him.......but Ralf
was flying directly towards his airbase......just as Gus was about to finish him,
the base AA blew Gus out of the sky! He re-spawned and tried to take out the base guns
but they got him again while Ralf managed to land, then take-off in a fresh plane.
This was over 30 minutes of action that I watched with F9. I truly wish I could
have recorded it! (I might have actually learned how to fly with a recording of
these guys!%^) Excellent pilots and a real pleasure to watch.....

Jel, I'm sorry I wasted all of the AI planes and didn't leave you anything to respawn
in.

I must admit that having used a twist stick Sidewinder for over 10 years I have to really concentrate to fine tune my direction using my Saitek rudder pedals. Old habits die hard, and there is little room for error when landing on a carrier deck.

We got there before the enemy, destroyed the convoy, took on the enemy, followed them back to base and strafed the field, destroying planes already landed and several buildings:

Hi Tony at all...im BBG although you will see my nick name how Gatonegro.....i have problems with my old nick name registration in SimHQ.....well im very happy with the flys in 1.28 series.With Tony and Sera do severals flights with so much action and funny so here in lathin america i have a friend called "el polaco" (the polish)and he wanna fly ww2 simulator desperately.I 1.28D EAW install in minutes and everything works fine, even has a joystick that is not for flight simulators and take it perfectly.when he have practiced enough will join us in the air combat.

The mission of interception against JU88 was a clay pigeon shooting, with Luth, Tony, Sera and I not letting anyone enemy bombers that drop bombs in flight,Then on interdiction missions after destroying the convoy of trucks Tony became the predatory butchers birds , shoot down many of them including several Me 110.

These are some target and base values for groundstarted fun in SAW.
The positions of the bases does not always lend itself to having different primary and secondary bases, in which case it makes sense to use the one base for both.

Hey Jell, the 17 in the foreground TU-A isn't one of my skins. How many planes and squadrons did you use? In my tests I only could get 15 to display. Did you have a single skin (TU-A) loaded then load the 100th? Signed dazed and confused.

Yesterday's last session had Ralf leading the intercepts in a 109G.
Luth in a Spit 9 and I in a P47C escorted. Respawn was on and I got shot down a couple of times by Ralf, but Luth shot Ralf down
All of the bombers made it to the target, and 6 of the 8 returned to home base safely.

Baby Inessa was our best ally. She was on Ralf's knee while he was flying. An interesting game

Hi Tony,

the cause for the CTD, when no joystick is plugged is related to the "force feedback = 1" entry.
"=1" is default, but it should be "=0". So the user without joystick much edit this entry and set it to "=0".

For the new exe i changed the default to "=0", then we shouldnt encounter problems.
