I formatted and installed fresh Windows 7 (easiest damn OS upgrade i ever did)... Everything works fine, RoF found my account and unlocked my planes... but since moving to Windows 7 my Saitek AV8R's throttle and rudder (yaw) don't work... and i can't seem to see how to change or reprogam it... any help Advise?

(BTW, it works in the properties and with Wings of Prey)

thx

Thats weird, Its working is WOP and not in ROF. Try deleting the current control profile and then create a new one and see if that helps. I had a similar thing with my saitek X52 and that fixed it for me.

Did you assign the axis through the configuration manager that appears after you cliok the icon, but before you get into the game proper? I was having some issues with my joystick, but doing everything through there solved my problems.

Magnum, I really feel for you having this problem, Have you posted it on the ROF forums ? I'll dig around over there today with some forum searches and see if I can find anything .

Ok Magnum try this. Its a fix I found that is for your problem. They lost their throttle after installing windows 7.

Throttle:
1. Double click on Settings.exe (*:\ROF\bin_game\release\) file;
2. Go to the “Input” tab of this application;
3. On “Game settings” choose a “Plane controls”;
4. Find a string “Engine control: throttle” and select this (it should turns to dark blue);
5. Push a button “Change” (do not move a mouse or any keyboard buttons) and move your throttle device (might be revert axis required);
6. Save a result to the same file.
That’s all – your throttle should work now.
The same procedures for pitch and roll axis. Just find proper strings and do as described above.

Give that a try.

This just sounds like a mapping issue and not a bug to me. If it were a real bug we'd have heard a lot more about it.

Oh and don't try to save any changes the "Input". Save a fresh map with a new name first.
