I think this was my worse airshow quality wise I've ever done. I'll blame it on the wind but I didn't get as many quality shots I would have liked. Cuss banghead

Don't be so tough on yourself Dave, those are nice pics.

And yes, I'm partial to the DM A-10 pics.

i have an F-18 question about something i notice in your second picture. the engine air intakes seem to have a protective flap? in them. is that correct? if so, i assume it is to protect the engines from ingesting debris or birds, etc., at low speeds? i say that because those flaps would be open at high speeds to allow enough air into the engines wouldn't they?

thanks for the pictures!

Those are great pics, Dave, and even more on your site. I think the lighting there makes it tough to get shots we like, though. You got several with much better lighting than I did.

kramer, I'm not sure but I think you're seeing a paint line where the color changes from gray to white, and it's not a physical flap.

thanks guys, more difficult to shoot than I remember it being back in 05....

Kramer, not sure if this helps w/the visual of the air intake or make it worse. But there is no flap to stop debris.
