owww allright, well I really liked the idea of him actually cutting some holes in top wing to see better was fun to do and actually works ingame, offcourse thinking about it that would probably spoil the wings integrety quite a bit.

Aww well .)

Salute!

I know this skin has been done by MM. Gary http://www.gipsymoth.com asked me to try my hands at this again according to his background info, the most accurate so far. He had allready asked MM, but it is understandable that he did not feel like going over this again.

I though well why not, with the possibility of this beeing used on a real flying Fok DVII replica. Well the thing is it has been a lot of work for many weeks with me and Gary bouncing sceenshots and info back and fought. Gary's attention to detail had me changeing small things over and over  but it has been fun and a challenge. biggrin Thanks Gary. Cant even tell you guys how much things have gone into this one. In the end I quite like the result and should be the closest to real thing so far in any sim.

Enjoy!!

Nice,,great job and very realistic. I know the bright, colorful skins are cool but in reality after sitting in the weather and flying from muddy fields these planes looked used fast. The paints back then did not hold up in the weather and sun like todays paints, even today red fades fast.

Not sure about the weathering myself - looks overdone. The service life of WWI aircraft was measured in months, not years, so there wasn't that much time for paint to fade. I suspect Udet's D.VII was a quite bright red and wasn't in service long enough for it to get very faded. Of course, it's hard to know at this distance in time.

Cheers,

RD
