Attention SimHQ members who own and play Forza Motorsports 3...
SimHQs Forza Motorsport 3 2010 Race Season!
Season Schedule
All races will be full simulation, full damage, no assist, Cockpit view only. The only exception is that a clutch is not required due to the Xbox 360 wireless wheel not having one. (But if you have a clutch wheel, then by all means go right ahead.)
You must commit to this season, we need 8 every race, but if real life gets in the way then it's understood. You can "hire" a stand in driver for any race, or even team up with someone for the season, (but still only one prize for the main driver, deal with hired drivers as you see fit.) BTW, when I say you can team up or hire a driver, they have to still be members of SimHQ, NOT members of the Turn 10 development crew, or going over to the official forum and looking for the greatest driver, it has to be a SimHQ member in good standing. lol
The reason for the strict and simulation rules, and the required devoted racers? Because this season we will be handing out prizes at the end of the season. (based on total points)
1st place will receive a 60 dollar Microsoft Points card (for buying games, add-ons, movies or whatever on XBL) 2nd will receive a 40 dollar Microsoft Points card 3rd will receive a 20 dollar Microsoft Points card
Since I have bought these cards, and not SimHQ, SimHQ staff can participate and win. Including me, why? Because for 1) I suck, lol, 2) We will all know the points so I can't cheat, and 3) Since I bought the cards it gives me incentive to win so I can use those points myself.
I will host the races on my wired connection every Saturday, but if by some chance I can't make it, then I will have a back up. It is recommended that after each official race, you save the replay in case I need you to gift me the replay for evidence and points.
Points System
Each Race: 1st... 8 points 2nd... 7 3rd... 6 4th... 5 5th... 4 6th... 3 7th... 2 8th... 1
Hire an outside driver, -1 point per series (not per race)
Series 1 Drag Racing
Jan. 16th 2010 @ 1 PM Eastern Drag Racing, 2 events, Class F cars first followed by Class E cars. Simulation settings, no aids, cockpit view, manual transmission (clutch is optional due to the 360 wheel not having one.) 2 races, points for each class of cars.
Series 2 Stock Car Racing
Feb. 6th 2010 @ 1 PM Eastern Sunset Peninsula Raceway, USA, 2.44 miles, 50 laps Feb. 13th 2010 @ 1 PM Eastern Sedona Raceway Park, USA, 1.51 miles, 50 laps Feb. 20th 2010 @ 1 PM Eastern Twin Ring Motegi, Japan, 1.5 miles, 50 laps
Series 3 Main Event
March 6th 2010 @ 1 PM Eastern Class D Cars, Circuit De Catalunya, 2.89 miles, 25 laps March 20th 2010 @ 1 PM Eastern Class C Cars, Maple Valley Race Way, 3.0 Miles, 25 laps April 3rd 2010 @ 1 PM Eastern Class B Cars, Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, 2.24 miles, 25 laps April 17th 2010 @ 1 PM Eastern Class A Cars, Mugello Autodromo International, 3.26 miles, 25 laps May 1st 2010 @ 1 PM Eastern Class S Cars, Silverstone Racing Circuit, 3.19 miles, 25 laps
Series 4 Race Cars
May 15th 2010 @ 1 PM Eastern Class R3 Cars, TwinRing Motegi, 2.98 Miles, 25 laps May 29th 2010 @ 1 PM Eastern Class R2 Cars, Sebring International Raceway, 3.70 Miles, 25 laps June 12th 2010 @ 1 PM Eastern Class R1 Cars, Lemans Circuit (Full), 8.48 Miles, 10 laps
You'll notice I spread out the races for the most part every other week (except for the Stock Car races), to make it easier for planning, practice, and other games.
In the event of a tie, a tie breaker race will be developed and announced with the players in a tie.
This is my contest, I hold the right to dis-ban or stop it if their is a lack of interest or a major event that makes racing unable. Of course, I will honor my word and try and make this season the best, and most professional, but to do that I need the participates help to show up or have someone show up in their place, and to use the proper cars for the proper event. IE: You can not downgrade a R1 car to an R3 or even an S car, because it is still to powerful and technically out of class. Of course you can upgrade a car, say upgrade a C class car to a A or S class car, you just can't download grade a car from one class to another. Also the drag races and stock car races require a set of class. The stock car races has to be one of the three actual stock cars.
Of course you can tune all you want, and use those tunes. But same class is required.
This is a friendly race season, don't be caught cheating or using cheats. Their is no re-do's like before so race with proper respect like you own that car.
Please sign up if interested in this thread... the last 2 season winners 360maniac.com (2009 season winner) and SkateZilla (2008 winner) are each guaranteed a spot if wanted. The the regulars from past seasons, and then any new SimHQ FM3 owners/racers. We need 8... so sign up and prepare for a great season of FM3 racing.

You can count me in for most of them. Not sure I'm interested in the drag racing though.

Raptor is also in... (a reminder to myself)... Jan is 2 drag races done on the same day, Feb. is NASCAR month, 3 stock car events in a row, oval tracks... so both of them you really don't have to practice for, lol... Just remember folks... sim mode, no aids, and cockpit view... so learn the right way.

Ill take a backup spot if i may. I cant make 2 of the 3 feb races but the others should be no problem as long as i am correct in saying that 1pm EST is 5 hours behind the UK meaning it would be 6pm here?
I appreciate that i am a very non regular poster so i am happy to be available as and when needed if a regular can't make it.. for Gods sake though don't ask me to sit in for your drive as i spend more time off the track than on!

I'll throw my name in, even though I might miss some due to family priorities.
