OK, who's got that fixed version?

Maybe I can squeeze it into my schedule so we can start building an inventory of models that take advantage of the new action codes.

Right now the P-51 is the only one that does.

Have you actually tested the new codes?

Yes, the 3 position flaps works on the P-51.

The divebrakes work on the SBD, A-36, Val and Ju87.

The tailhook works on all the naval planes in SPAW.

offtopic right banghead mycomputer

Gentlemen, quite a few models were fudged back in the day and weren't fully tested before they were released. Some of these glitches have slid by undetected for years. Since there are two display modes d3d and glide testing shouldn't be that tough. I have glide wrapper installed and test the skins in 3d3 and glide. Most things work fine. The Typhoon and the P51b are first two that have caused major problems. (The Spit Ia was a little bit wonky.)

We will continue to find flawded models, I only hope is that our talented modlers will have the time to fix them. It will take all modlers involved in EAW to resolve the problems and it may involve cooperation between them to get it done.

Hi Ray.

I was thinking of the new codes Ralf added to 1.28c. I never got a chance to test any of those codes. frown

LEFT ALERON 159
RIGHT ALERON 160
OIL LINE 161

RIGHT WAIST GUNNER 165
LEFT WAIST GUNNER 166
TOP GUNNER 167
BOTTOM GUNNER 168
NOSE GUNNER 169

Hi Mike.

Wonky Spitfire MkIa? Well could be, because I think it was my second or third HR model, and that is like a looooooong time ago.

The problem with most of the so called HR models is they were adapted from the LR models, mostly by just hacking the model into bits, piggybacking lots of elements, and remapping. Back in those days, it was quite a challenge to get a model to work right, even in D3D, let alone Glide!

The trick with Glide, is not to use -32768 on any element, which is linked to a double sided element. Wing tips are a common nasties, and adding things like flaps, which are also double sided flat elements, can only add to the woes. The other problem is the number of elements in a standard wing model can be as few 30, which does not give you much of a chance of adding piggybacks, with a sure chance of success, especially for Glide.

The only real solution is to rebuild the wing in a more logical way, so things like flaps can be built in correctly.

wink

Oh, and I totally agree with your comment, "This cheers Not this duel "

The Spit IA had the elevators not displaying correctly. I actually used two different models for that plane.

Both the 8 and 24-bit P51b units are on my page a Talley-Ho. Please use them and enjoy.
