The expansion will via download as the data required will be a lot smaller (around 400MB approx currently) than BH&H (4GB).

the BH&H DVD *may* be at some point.

OK, thanks. I will buy it when the full game is avaailble via download. It is just too inconvenient to do it via snail mail and the shipping cost is just not a good deal, sorry. I buy most games via download now and rarely use retail stores and snail mail is just not going to happen with me.

I'm not sure if I'm remembering this correctly, but I think that I read that BH&H is 15 gig of data or thereabouts - perhaps Pol can confirm.

That's a lot of bandwidth to download from my standpoint, at least.

If I were you, I'd just order the snail mail version, and then forget all about it until it pops up in the post. I'm in the UK, and I recall it took about 5 days to make its way over the Atlantic.

It was worth the wait.

Compressed it's "only" 4.5 GB.

I've downloaded games from Steam etc. that are just as big. It's not the time it takes to arrive i care so much about, it's the added hassle, cost etc. that stops me. If they will send it to me marked as a gift then I will go for it because then I can avoid possible brokerage fees and taxes so will gain back the loss on shipping costs. Friend ordered a game from the U.S. to Canada and he had to pay over $30.00 brokerage fee and taxes which made his cost for the game almost double than it should have been.

Yes I see your point. In my case I didn't have to pay any tax and I don't remember anyone complaining about that with OFF. But to be honest that might happen. I've been lucky so far. I buy a lot of things online (mostly less than 50€ each) , so far never had payed taxes, but it can happen.

Hey Zip, I had it sent up to BC, I didn't nor did anyone else in Canada I know of, got dinged extra charges/taxes etc.

Your odds I would say are pretty good that you won't get dinged either.

Cheers
Fawlty

C'mon Ziprick live dangerously man ! Life is way too short to dither. As it stands now it's under-priced at 30 bucks. Even if you were to get slugged extra costs you'd still be getting a bargain wink

I see they have send as gift option. Can I send it as a gift to myself and it will be marked as gift on the customs sticker? I just bought Fokker DR.I for RoF @7.62 USD so have to watch my finances now. I will have to eat Mac and Cheese for a week to compensate. wink

Sir, you do your stomach an injustice. But a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do in order to maximise life's little pleasures. And OFF is one of those.

Sorry no idea about the customs gift stuff. Perhaps someone else will answer that. Are you aware you also need CFS3 (Ubisoft DVD version is best) to install OFF ?

OK, I will email them and ask, and yes, I do have a copy of CFS3 and actually still play it but with the ETO mod.

Just so you guys understadn my position due to the kind of PITA customs can cause here is what happened to me once. I had a coupon from another game to get a free SSI game shipped to me. SSI neglected to mark it as a freebie and customs evaluated the game at $50.00 so I had to pay GST on it and they also charged me $5.00 fee for openign the box to evaluate that it was worth $50.00. I filled in the form to appeal the decision and told them that it was sent to me for free and they refused my appeal. Big pain and hassle that cost me money out of my pocket all over a game that had no actual value because it was free. Now you see why I am hesitant to order across border for stuff like this. If it was via newegg.ca or Amazon then I would have no problem doing it but it seems they prefer to distribute the game themselves for some reason.

Ziprick, I just received my copy of OFF a few days ago.
The package was labelled as commercial sample with a total value of 5$.

Guess, they did so in foresight of the customs?!
The DVD arrived after 10 days without any customs hassle here in Germany.

OK, thanks. I will go order it now and request it be marked as your was. I had a tube amp sent up from the U.S.and they marked it as a gift for me to avoid any possible customs issues.

That's your Christmas done for mate.

I take it you've resigned yourself to not spending any time with your family!

I live alone and rarely see what family I have left so it is both a good and bad thing. I've bought quite a few new games recently, what whit all the sales at Steam etc. so will be quite a busy boy and probably won't even get any turkey or Christmas pudding.

I think the shipping cost is $9 for any place in the world.
Our German m8s report that take between 1 week to 2 weeks to arrive.
In my case, to Portugal, it took 7 days.
