So I'm poking around the Statistics page. It says,

Gunnery Accuracy: 24%

a) Is that a valid calculation?*

b) What kind of accuracy are some of you top guns seeing?

* Because my 'Bombing Accuracy" says 300%, which seems a bit suspect.

Definately hosed, IMHO.

No way I'm hitting the .250 it claims I am.

Right now it is saying 35%.. not sure I would argue that. It does however say I have only dropped 16 bombs and I have 100% accuracy... that seems just a wee bit off lol.

I agree that something is fishy about em, here are mine for Multi :

And Single:

I think my bombing accuracy is utter bollocks....but having said that I hardly bother bombing and the few times I have I have been lucky and managed to damage convoys.

The last time I did, looking back the bombs fell very close but not "on the money" damaging some vehicles and destroying one (in the Camel). I'm guessing there may be some "proximity" thing going on, as you can damage a tank by getting "close enough" I have noticed. Definately something amiss when you're getting +100% accuracy lol, which I have seen before (107%). screwy

The gunnery I find slightly more believable, not because I'm William Tell or the reincarnation of Billy Lia-*cough, Bishop* (I am definitely not) but because I usually only open fire when I'm pretty sure I will hit.

Deflection shooting is fun and a challenge, I try the odd snap shot at times in the hope I will wound the pilot, or damage his engine. But mostly I do not bother, best left in IL-2 land/WWII era IMO. Smile2

PS the friendly fire was very deliberate. I caught a few of the Lads looking at a photo of my Missus the wrong way in the mess hall, and decided that they had to go lol....They 'disappeared' in the fog of war. Can't blame em though shes a looker hahaha

I wonder if say...1 bomb takes out 3 vehicles. What would your stats read?

Bombs Dropped: 1
Accuracy: 300%
Targets destroyed: 3

...could that explain (at least in part) the goofyness?

Mine seems to be off as well.
(and I am a horrid ground attacker!!)

Ah....Give Brian a Coconut by Jove I think he's got it! Never thought of that. It makes "sense" in a paradoxically nonsensical way. You have brought light where there was darkness, Bravo mate smile lol. confused smile
