Thanks to the information in the various posts here, I think I understand the process for installing FC, patching to 1.02b, and updating the Starforce drivers so that they work with a Vista 64 bit system.

Before I give it a go, though, I'm wondering: If I mess up somehow, how much damage can I do to my system? If I blow it so that the Starforce 64 bit drivers don't install properly or something, will it just mean that the game won't run, or will it be one of those cases where an unsigned driver makes it impossible to boot normally, so that I have to revert to an earlier restore point? I'm ok with the first outcome; not so great with the second.
