- Having poor performance after switching to Windows 7 I tried some of the fixes mentioned in this thread: at first glance it looks like I'm finally rid of the mini pauses / choppy performance!

to sum up the fixes used:

- 60410 Beta patch
- -cpucount=4 in the startup parameter
- Videomemory set to default
- AA disabled
- PP effects low
- other settings set to normal

From here on I can fine tune the settings for an acceptable performance.

Thanks to everyone who contributed!

Cheers,

Willem.

I just spent an evening actually playing Warfare (as opposed to tweaking and testing Arma2) and I'm happy to say in "real life usage" the FPS rarely go below 30. Of course there are specific situations that are harder on the system, but it's not something you get regularly.

It's really a cool game when it works.

Cool, now you just need to enlist in the "SimHQ ArmA II Military Monday Squad" to get the best out of it!

Oops...

Well, there's enough European SimHQ members here that have asked about setting up the European equivalent of Military Monday to actually get it goin', it just needs to get organized...

Brennus is right. We've said it before, and I will again. The SimHQ ArmA2 server is there for members to use. If someone wants to do some organization and admin of a European time SimHQ ArmA2 event, get in touch with me or Magnum.

You can organize on this very forum, and play the missions that are on the server right now.

I'll check - I usually play online sekf-hosted games with my friend LukeFF (from SoCal) when his time eary morning allows to meet me at my late evenings. Right now he's busy with real life stuff, but if we can find time slots for playing again, we might as well do so on the SimHQ server with a shoutout to other Euro members and see who shows up. If there's enough interest it might develop into something more organized.
