Some of the new things that can be done in Assassin's Creed 2. Has anyone else picked this up? I haven't finished the first one quite yet. It has some wacky story line but I enjoyed the building scaling aspect and combat of the original AC. And AC2 has even more detail added to it. Plus its feeling less repetitive because of the other missions they added and how they set up the main missions in the sequel. I'm not very far into it but it has pretty environments and I like that you can swim in water now.

Hey Coot, if you haven't already check out the 15:00 mini movie called Assassin's Creed Lineage: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xqGk33RAZ...creed%20lineageIts extremely well done for a low budget production and its the story leading up to Assassin's Creed 2.

Hey slash thanks. I started to watch that but didn't get to finish it. What I saw was very good. I forgot to mention that there are a total of three parts. The link is for Part 1. If interested, you will find the other 2 parts (both about 15min. long) on the same link but to the right side of the page. You will see various links to other Assassin's Creed videos and you will be looking for Assassin's Creed Lineage Part2, Part3. Its really worth watching, especially if you are enjoying the game or thinking of buying it.

AC2 is much better...now AC1 is also a great game in my book. The only thing wrong with AC1 was missions felt way too repetitive....it was always go climb a tower, go pickpocket, go eavesdrop, etc.,
AC2 missions are more integrated into the story and feels less repetitive.
Exploration is great as always....going around town and just climbing stuff. New additions like being able to swim makes it that much better.
So i say AC2 is a must have.

I knew from the title this was about AC2. I really liked AC1 but I love AC2. They streamlined so much of what made the first too much of an effort. Now all the main missions are related to the assassinations. Hell, I finished the game in about 20 hours and I did only a handful of side missions. If you do all the side missions, this game would likely be 40 hours long... not counting just normal exploration. Another thing that really makes me love it is the much cooler assassin uniform and the ability to change the color scheme. It adds a lot of personality. Plus, near the end of the game, I think he looks so badass that I want that look for AC3 (even though I know it will be different). One of the biggest improvements this time around is the side real-world story. It does not interfere with the main virtual story much. Instead of going in and out of it like the first game, you only go into the "real world" a few times. This allows you to really live within that "virtual" world.

Well I'm getting rid of this one. I smelled something fishy from the first one but the sequel really goes all out and unabashed with its story line/subject matter. They've gone out of their way to specifically attack God's Word and the Christian faith and I want no part of it. Shameful and totally unacceptable.

Thats unfortunate Coot. For what its worth, I wouldn't play a game that bashed my faith either.
If you're on PS3, pick up uncharted 2!
