Well guys and girls and dogs...Nine minutes until beer o'clock here in Melbourne Town.

I don't want to go all serious here, but I guess I will. Yes, a dog's life where they live in a home where they are loved and love in return is a sweet deal. Contrast that with unwanted dogs, dogs that are abused, tortured and killed. There are some mean human beings out there that don't give a crap and have no respect for life. I think of Michael Vicks dogs. What a perverse SOB he is. The terror he wrecked on those innocent dogs is horrifying. Of course, I speak as a dog lover, but all you need is a sense of humaneness.

When my kitty went AWOL several months ago, I visited several shelters trying to find him. What I saw was row after row of dogs and cats in pens. It broke my heart, but there wasn't much I could do.
