When I played through the sub-base level, I was kinda distracted and missed who exactly initiated the missile launch. I thought it was Price, but that didn't make sense afterward the way the story continued...

Can someone explain to me what happened there exactly?

...or I could just replay the level on recruit and pay more attention... biggrin

OK... I'm obviously missing something then.

Did he do it just so he could have unlimited resources to go after Makarov? And, why does no one seem to care that he just fired a WMD at the US that would result in "30,000 - 50,000" casualties.

I can't believe I'm this confused by a video game...
