How do I get myself into this stuff? I keep thinking "and a Large Orange Drink"

So I go to get a much needed haircut and on the the way home think, yeah Mexican food!

Go thru the driveway with 15 of my never met friends. Get to the order window.

"I'd like the 3 piece tacitos and a bean burrito"

"What?"

"3 piece tacitos and a bean burrito"

"So you want some tacos and an enchilada and a Coke?"

"NO!" "Let's start over. Can you hear me"

"No."

"Well why didn't you say so? I want the 3 piece tacitos and a bean burrito."

"Do you want guacamole and cheese on the tacitos?"

"Please"

Silence.

I pull up to the window, get my order, pay for it, the guy at the other end doesn't say crap. Not thank you, although I said thank you, not F you, not nothing.

Still good food, otherwise I'd go somewhere where they treat me like a human.

Hopefully they don't label you as a problem customer and give you a few "extras" beyond your guac and cheese...

The Mexican food here comes from a Mexican family that moved up here from Mexico. They don't have a drive up window, you have to go sit down, but the ambience is great, the food is the best, and they're all real nice folks who live locally, so I kind of like spending my money there instead of giving it to a chain.

I can't eat there too often though, or I'd have to buy new jeans.

Cheers!

Rick... wink

The best fajitas I've had so far were, believe it or not, in Turkey this September, when I spent a week sailing on the coast there biggrin

Same here Sauron, it's the real deal from a couple that moved here from Mexico, well she's from Mexico but he's a Newfie. Amazing food, it's like eating a home cooked Mexican meal. Just wish they served beer there.
