I upgraded to win 7 and so far not real happy about it..Rof did not want to patch after a clean re-install but I got that to work finally,,,now when I click on settings or game a window comes up saying ROF has a problem and will close. I tried running it as an admin,,no luck..

Any ideas?

Win 7 is DX10 by default, you need to install the DX9c for ROF to work.

There's some confusion that seems to be lurking in this thread....

DirectX10 is a 64bit API.

DirectX9 is a 32bit API.

ROF uses DirectX9 (ROF is a 32bit application)

If you are using Vista/Win7(64bit), you will need to install the 32bit DX9 from the ROF DVD.

You can install the 32bit DX9 without messing up your 64bit DX10!!
(counter-intuative to think you need 9 when you already have 10, right?)

Hope this clears things up.

Thanks WWBrian,,it is very confusing but interesting that we can have both at the same time. Now if only I could get Win 7 to remember resolution and day, date and time.
