I bought the family 3 pack... installed it on my desktop, and both of my kids own PC's... but I need one more activation for my laptop... anyone know if i can just buy one more activation license and use the DVD I already have?

Checked M$'s web site with no luck on additional activations.

BTW, really liking Windows 7... everything works except for my video capture card, which should be supported soon.

Well, the license won't be much cheaper than the DVD + License.

I'm not sure, technically it is possible to define on the DVD which keys work with that installation. So it's possible that an OEM key would not work with your Family-Pack DVD.

Your best bet is to buy an OEM license and media. Any particular reason why you want to use the DVD you already have?
