I mostly run these for safety glasses, if I need un-tinted ones I grab a set from work.

I have something very similar to those in your second link.

I am agreeing with you that you should wear eye protection.

But I just don't like it. Really makes it hard for me to keep my focus.

Even if I was at an unsupervised area, I still think I would wear eye protection. You never know what can happen.

Will get some pics up of the complete rifle sometime tonight or tomorrow.

What a bunch of gun loving nutz! Love it.

I miss my dad's gun collection. The entire collection was stolen at yes, gunpoint. My poor brother got duped into opening the front door and next thing you know he has a nickel plated .45 in his face. Zip tied him and threatened to kill him. They took the entire safe. Drug it down the hallway chewing up the carpet along the way and somehow, still not sure how they did this, but loaded it in our pick-up and then stole the truck. Oh and they also got hundreds of rounds of ammo and all my mom's jewelery.

The only gun we got back, 5 years later was the Uzi. Also, not sure how they opened the damn safe. Must have blown it or torched it. It was a heavy, tough safe.

Such is life.

Still want to get some other parts, but as of now it is complete:

Sight picture (big circle):

Small:

Sight is a Daniel Defense A1.5 fixed rear sight.

Might be going shooting Friday... if not, Tuesday.

And Jason, that is a terrible thing to read. They even stole the truck to. Its not just the cost, but I wouldn't think I'd be able to live in my house if it was broken into.

Horrible story Jason.
I am glad your brother decided not to fight them.

I've posted pics of all these before, but what the heck: biggrin

1944 K98, all matching, likely never fired outside the factory:

1937 K98, all matching:

1943 K98, all matching:

1940 SVT-40:

1945 M44:

1928 M91/30:

I really like that Gothic script on the 1937 and 1943 K98s.

One of these days I'll get some pics of my Remington shotgun up and posted...

Thanks, you're right. It harkens back to the day when the US actually produced a tangible product and did it well. Imagine now that the Garand was produced by a chinese company. That's the state that we're in now.
