~Just curious... Not been up to things in the industry lately.

I wonder what the motives are for releasing a Demo subsequent to release of a game.

I would've thought it part of a marketing campaign to get people talking and amped up for a coming release (?)

Seems a bit cart-before-the-horse, to me.

I'm glad for a demo release... I hear Christmas bells ringing in my brain these days... I just wonder of the marketing minded could comment.

Is this a trend? is it just how things are done now? (I remember it being the reverse)

Or is it just a matter of we'll get to it when we get to it? or what?

Just curious.

~Cheers

I'm more inclined to think that they knew what they were doing.... if they released the patch they knew they would lose sales because of it.... intelligent decision perhaps....
