"Get a life" I thought it was hilarious. Still have to get the DVDs, though "Sledge Hammer!" Trust me, I know what I'm doing. ... I guess I like a bit over-the-top humor 
There is a theory which states that if ever anyone discovers exactly what the universe is for it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more inexplicable.
There is another theory which states that this has already happened.

Part of what doomed "Sledgehammer" is that it was competing against "Miami Vice" and "Dallas" in its timeslot. As for me, I honestly haven't cared for any tv sitcoms since "3rd Rock from the Sun" and that was only because it was sci-fi comedy!

SledgeHammer was very funny. David Rasche (Detective Hammer) was in In The Loop as a slimy US technocrat - narrowly beat James Gandolfini to the show-stealing award.

Sledge Hammer - absolutely. the "witless" episode where they spoof the "witness" movie kills me every time. sledge stealthily sneaks up behind the bad guy and clocks him on the head with his pistol to silently incapacitate him. but instead of getting knocked out, the dude grabs his head and starts yelling, "OW!!!" at the top of his lungs while sledge clubs him over and over. good stuff. also check out "hammeroid" where sledge is transformed into a robocob-esque mechanoid to tackle an evil toymaker.
i liked the tick too but i could tell it was doomed from the first episode cuz it was actually funny and clever instead of just crude.
Robots are stealing my luggage.

The first episode of the final series of Sledge Hammer began with Sledge & DeeDee standing next to a nuclear warhead. Sledge looks at DeeDee and says his immortal catchphrase. Followed by a gigantic mushroom cloud!
