While I agree with you on probably 99% of what you say, there is that 1% that just says NO to FPS games on consoles. I own a console, always have since the first Atari way back when. But, I also have owned a PC since as long as PC's were available. What I have always found is that console FPS games just do not play the same as they do on the PC. Even this latest edition in the CoD franshise plays differently on console then on PC. While I do like games on my console, I just can't fathom (right now) ever playing any FPS game there and calling it "good".

I don't know how anyone can say that games like: Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter (1 & 2), Rainbow Six: Vegas (1 & 2), CoD4: Modern Warfare, CoD: World at War and/or CoD: Modern Warfare 2 aren't good games because they're on a console. They're all terrific games, IMHO.

I have CoD4 for the 360 and the PC, I also have RB6:Vegas for the 360 and the PC and the only difference in gameplay is the controller. They play virtually identical to each other.

Initially I bought a console because some of my favorite sports games were becoming "console only" releases. I hated playing FPS games on it. It was hard to aim with the controller. But, eventually you get used to it. I generally die more often than I get kills in multiplayer but, heck, I'm OLD so my reflexes aren't what they were when I was a kid. I can deal with it. But, it doesn't mean the games aren't fun and it sure as hell doesn't mean the games aren't "good".

I think a lot of the time the pc vs console discussion is more kb/mouse vs controller. Personal preference either way. I switched to controller a long time ago and now I can barely go kb/mouse for a shooter. Plus, with the Xbox and 360...there's just something so right about pulling a trigger when playing a shooter and getting that little bit of feedback with the rumble built in. After discovering Pinnacle so I can use the same controller on both, I'm just spoiled even if I can't add in the tactile feedback.
