This is what the tech person told me at the PC store. She said "thats not good". I didnt have time to ask her for more details about that ....but she said you need at least two pc's to do a complete format like Windows XP has.

Boot the CD from the Manufacture's website, most of them have the ability to do DIAG, quick format, full format, and write Zeros.

She's right, but there's no issue with it.
A format takes sometimes inside of a minute compared to 30 minutes or more with previous Windows versions. Yes, for a complete and thorough format you would need to do it with another pc or maybe a bootable OS on flashdrive or disc. The installation dvd doesn't give any other options.
