.....and this after only three online sessions

So in a little over 300 days I should be in the top ten, cha ching!! Except if I have to listen to the trash talk on some of these servers I'll go batty well before day 300.

Unless I am playing with friends I really don't use my headset so I don't have to listen to the little kids playing. That and so they can't hear me mumble "where the $#%^ did that guy come from?" every 2 seconds as I die.

No I don't generally use headphones, but the family had gone to bed early last night so it was a chance to turn up the volume.

Ya it's a vicious world out there, though I've improved vastly since MW one, I still get my butt kicked. Buggers

I plug them in so I don't hear the squeaky pre-teens in the tv, and put the headphones and mic on the floor.

Just set your audio output to headphones only on your 360 and you won't hear them on the TV, even without the headphones not plugged in. That's what I do.

Definetly one of the worst decisions IW could have ever made. What on God's green earth were they thinking to not allow private party chat within certain matches. This is just the ultimate in stupidity. Why force everyone to listen to the adolescent nonsense of game chat? There just isn't any benefit to this and I really hope they issue some kind of update to change this.

I only use the headphones if I'm playing with people I know. Otherwise, click!

Yesterday there was a kid on and his voice was so high and squeaky that I thought someone in my party had sucked on a helium balloon. Seriously, this kid sounded like he was 5.

Ya sometimes it was funny, at one point a guy named NoobKiller, a definate nerd, and another guy named Splix, a definate street-wise smart-ass punk got into it, it went something like this:

Noobkiller: 'Ah you suck man, I even destroyed your helicopter, Mr. level 51.'
Splix: 'Yu ain't nothin' but a *$#@$ **&^%, **&^%. I take you down mother **&&%....*^^%$!'

It's like 'ground control to major splix, come in please', way over the top,

Is the language offensive slash, sorry, thought it might be too close to the edge

I was on playing with a friend on Thurs morning about 11am. Almost half the other people playing sounded like they were 12 and should have been in school. We ended up leaving the server because of them.

Two more levels (19) and I can get back to Hardcore Team Deathmatch and [relatively] away from the juveniles. I often find myself quitting sessions immediately after the point tally just to get away from them.

HTD was about all I'd ever play in CoD4 and WaW. I unlocked Hardcore last week in MW2 and it wasn't pretty. Definitely seems harder than before but it's probably just me.

I wish they just got rid of the HUD and didn't up the damage in HC mode, it makes it too easy for people who can't aim to throw on stopping power and get a lucky bullet in your toe. That is the main reason why I refuse to play it.

I just want to get up in level so I can play hardcore mode. You get very few morons playing that mode.

It's a toss up. You can play in core against bunny hoppers and kids who need to be muted or in hardcore against people who sit in one spot the entire match and then spray a whole mag trying to get the golden bb.

my first time playing MP none COOP last night with Coot and didn't have any kids, although we did have one noobtube and boy did he piss off one guy lol. He loaded up with a vengeance to put a hurting on him....

Actually, no guarantees on that. I played Hardcore the other day with a handful of Brits and they spent the entire match making up gay jokes and gay poems. Yes, POEMS. And, of course, the required jokes about shagging one's Mum.

I could only stand so much and then I had to quit.

But, I'll say this. Those guys were GOOD. I got pwned badly.

When I play with headphones unplugged, it redirects voice comms to speakers regardless of my setting it to headphones only. In most games, I'd just start a party by myself. Changing comms to friends only works well, but you shouldn't have to log out and back in to do that, I wish they would do something about that.

Played a private room last night for a couple of hours, 18 people. It's nice that the larger maps support this well in this game. Tweaked game types make the game a lot more enjoyable too. No respawn and limited respawns in hardcore mode slow the game down nicely. TDM is actually fun when you only have 2-3 lives.
