Does anyone know if VOXATC works in Windows XP 64bit? Have done a forum and web search and can't seem to find a definitive answer. Even contacted the program creator but no reply.

I have had loads of problems trying to get it to run under Vista 64 bit.Like you I have been unsuccesfull in getting any support, the only thing I could find was that if you post on the Avsim forums then you might recieve some support from the company when they read the forum.
Lousy or what ? Take your money then bye bye, your on your own.

Thanks for the reply. Tried Avsim forum, so far no luck. I really don't want to have to continue to use Win XP 32 bit just for that one program.

I think theres an alternative to vox called radar contact???

If it an option to change over if it works under 64 may be an option?

Ive recently got 64bit in Win7 and have no problems so far running anything, but in win7 theres various run in xp compat modes etc.

Thanks Lewis, I looked at Radar Contact. It doesn't support VFR which I mostly fly. By the way, I have been flying the lessons in "Microsoft Flight Simulator For Real World Pilots" using the A2A Piper. What a great add-on aircraft. Thanks for such a good product.Smile2

Radar Contact 4 works with Windows x64 Editions and FSX.

Oh and rcsimulations I believe are close to the creator of Vox so it may even be worth asking them,..

http://www.rcsimulations.com/

Ive dealt with rcsimulations in the past and they have great customer service.

Lewis, Tried to contact the creators, but no reply. I have seen other people post that they have installed VOXATC under Windows 7 64bit with no problem. I originally tried to install in Windows 7 64 bit myself, but it refuses to install. That's why I have been looking at XP 64 bit. I have my machine set up as dual boot. I would sure like to know what others have done to get it to install. When I try to install it hangs up at the commit phase and will not finish the install. Will try rcsimulation and see if they might respond. sigh

Have you tried installing as admin by right clicking (recommended for everything TBH).

When it hangs have you tried leaving it just in case it takes a while?

thanks,
Lewis
