"It's definitely an aspiration that we see potential in, particularly as we look at different business models to monetize the online gameplay," said Tippl. "There's good knowledge exchange happening between the Blizzard folks and our online guys."

The ONLY reason I pay for MMOs is because they contain such huge amount of players that it's impossible for a sole consumer to afford running the servers, same can NOT be said for CoD, so why the hell would I want to pay extra to access ordinary MP? Or even worse, use real money to buy special abilities in game etc?

A big F and U to Activision-Blizzard.

Honestly, they're taking their money-making schemes even further than EA did in their worst periods.

A year and a half ago they hinted at a COD MMO. Now just MMO-like monthly fees. They're making EA look good. LOL
I'd love a real MMOFPS (not like Huxley that's been years in the making). Chromehounds had a persistent war, more advanced than EndWar. Give me something like that with a home base camp to meet with teammates, get mission briefings to choose from, plan the mission, training, clean weapons wink and to extract from in a variety of means (air, sea, land). I'd go for it. I would want gameplay like OFDR, not a reflex shooter like COD. I don't know if that's possible yet though, much less a big enough audience.

Oh man Chromehounds f*cking ruled dude, shame that they shut down the persistent campaign server :\

Chromehounds was the closest thing to Steel Battalion LoC available on the XB360.

Maybe the new Mechwarrior will work something like that. I think the CH servers are up into January, but I haven't gone in or I'll just get frustrated. LOL
That's the ideal MP, I wish we would get a solid FPS using that system.
