Connection Troubleshooting:
Firewall and Router:
- permit EAW.exe to connect
- you may also need to allow dplaysvr.exe
which is a part of Microsoft DirectPlay Helper which the game uses to connect
Here are the Port configurations.
These are so you can host as well as client.
All ports are set to IN and OUT (bidirectional).
You need to allow your Firewall and/or Router to use traffic through at least some of this port range
47624 TCP DirectX7 DirectPlay setup
6073 UDP DirectX8 DirectPlay setup
2300-2400 TCP DirectX7 DirectPlay ports
2300-2400 UDP DirectX7&8 DirectPlay ports
EAW will not need all the ports simultaneously.
In some cases slightly different ports may be used by Directplay, depending on your OS and Lan settings, so you may need to adjust these slightly.
