Alright...so I'm playing mission 5 IIRC (for the 3rd time) where you have to take over the airfield. So I run in, kill some guys, and then get a request to secure the tower because of enemy mortar spotters calling in arty. So I run in, kill all the guys, and accomplish the objective. Then after that enemy reinforcements roll in and I get killed from the APC who magically knew I was on top right as he crested the hill...
So anyways, I revert to my last checkpoint which was right after I secured the tower and got the all clear over the radio. Well, after it loads, I'm standing on top of the tower by myself; but then mortars start raining down and they tell me friendly forces are taking too many casualties; so I'm frantically searching the building thinking it saved with one guy still in there; but there's no one even close by. Cuss

I guess the ghost of the spotter is still calling in mortars confused

And of course they don't let you load from any PREVIOUS checkpoints, only the last one; so in essence I have to start the mission all over again for round 4. banghead

Also in the same mission when I'm just on the edge of the airfield making the assault; I see enemy soldiers magically climbing the tents (pretty much shooting 20ft. into the air and landing on top); and going prone on the OTHER side (where I can't see) and sniping me thru the tent...WTF????

This game is deleted until they release a patch that fixes something useful.

The lack of any kind of user save option is just ridiculous.. I've taken literaly an hour and a half on a mission before, properly using dead ground and stalking to reach an objective unseen, only to have one of my incredibly stupid AI team mates to disobey and start world war three and get us all killed.. so it's back to the beginning again... please lets have a save function for gods sake.

Even letting us load from any previous checkpoints would be better...but yes having a save option would be best

In that mission, IIRC, when you are on top of the tower you have to call in an airstrike and that takes care of the enemy armour.

Hacked me off until I realised that.

Unless I'm mistaken, you can reload from previous checkpoints, you just have to go back to the main menu and use the slider there to pick where you want to start from ... I think ... I've never actually done it.

Well it doesn't really have to do with the enemy armor. Just before that you have to secure the tower and kill the enemy mortar spotter before the enemy armor comes in (which is scripted to happen after killing the spotter and the autosave). After I secured the tower I got killed trying to designate armor targets; so it loaded from that last checkpoint but it didn't realize that I had already killed the spotter; so almost instantly after it loads, mortars start falling on all the friendlies and I loose the mission because we suffered too many casualties. I tried reloading 5 or 6 different times and running around the building trying to see if maybe I missed someone; but it's empty. It's kind of hard to explain but it basically comes down to buggy saves.

I tried to find where to load all previous checkpoints in the menu but got frustrated because I couldn't find it (along with some other issues), so I uninstalled the game lol.

I'm just waiting for the patch to (hopefully) fix some major issues
