She'd kill me if she knew I posted this.

No, probably not, she's pretty cool.

But she's older than me and although fine on the internet, she doesn't know what certain things mean.

Example: She and my bro in law went to NYC this past weekend and they came across a wildlife artist. He gave them his biz card and she in turn gave it to me after we'd discussed on the phone. The email said "Here's the webpage of the the guy I told about on the phone".

No link.

So, I responded, "Uh, no link".

And she responded "Oh c'mon on now you can do this!"

Which of course I can, but I'm so used to people providing me a link. I called her up this afternoon and we had a good laugh about it. Now, she uses a Mac and I use PC, but I said "Hey, check the URL at the top of the page. Copy and paste, you got a link. We laughed about "LOL" and "FWIW" and many other inter net acronyms that you and I take for granted.

We're creatures of the internet night.

Once I told my mother to use "WTF?" in an email to a more net-savvy relative. I explained after she hit 'send' what it stands for.

My 83 yr old aunt forwards jokes to me she recieves via email.

I don't have the heart to tell her that the emails are always blank...the titles are funny though
