Screw that...I would like to see somebody....anybody step up and make a HOCAS setup. (Even a crappy one!)
None of the major joystick manufacturers make any kind of long-throw center stick, AT pedals, or a collective.

GAs, big tins, fast movers, spacers, racers, even mechs....everybody gets shown some love, except us rotorheads!!!
I swear, if I wasn't so damned lazy (and I didn't already make my own), I would start a revolt. Oh well, "What a world....what a world." sigh

I like the look of that setup. I dont think the pricing isn't that off either. $300 for joystick/throttle/pedals seems fair to me in comparison to other makes.

Shame that pricing doesn't extend outside of the US

Wonder if down the road you'll be able to get it without the pedals?

Gizmodo says :

"The joystick features "a two-stage metal trigger, six programmable buttons, mini-stick, 8-way hat and three analog trim controls,"

So, a mini-stick after all it seems.

From the Logitech product page (Tab "specifications"):

-POV Control Switch
-8-way hat switch

I'd assume a "POV Contol switch" is an ordinary 8 way hat switch, but who knows.

Screw that... no wait, I like that idea smile

I've actually had an idea for one for a while using my beloved CH equipment. See, there is this guy that makes lefty hotas stuff. So stick for left, and the throttle for the right. So I was thinking you get that lefty CH Fighterstick, add a much longer shaft and then remove all the springs in the base. Now, mount the base at an angle. Naturally, the weight of the stick and longer shaft would cause it to go all the way to to the end of the travel. Experiment with a different spring weight and have it so that the drop is not as dramatic - much more dampened. I think that the effect would be very nice - and you'd have all those great hats and buttons (even a trigger) at your disposal.
