Tried out the demo and got some screwy graphics. Had it in my hands at Best Buy too but wanted to solve this first before i purchased.

Lowered the settings, yet i get this.

I had that same problem. If you have alot of memory, there is a start parameter that will fix that. Also, I think one of the beta patches may have fixed that. I have 12 Gig of RAM.

Its:

-winxp

Add that at the end of the Target string.

The newest beta fixes the problem so you don't have to use the switch anymore; but the demo is still 1.02 IIRC. Don't base your performance off of the demo because the latest patches have really improved FPS for most people

Hehe i know right. I was actually waiting for OFP2 to come out in stores then COD MW2.

Made my choice since i didn't want to purchase all 3. I have enough games lying around that i don't have time for.

Good decision Stormtrooper.
I say this based on my actual experience.
I tried last hight MW2 and... it's nothing more than a corridor shooter. It's even worse than MW1.
As for Dragon Rising it has some tactical elements but it has too much restrictions. It's "consolized".
Now ARMA II is a good investment with present and future mods you'll have for the next couple of years. Besides BIS really give support to us PC gamers.

first thing is usually to make sure you have the newest driver for your video card.
secondly update your game to the latest patch and try again.

As stated previously, do not make your decision based on the demo as it is, IMO a turd. The performance is horrible and in no way indicative of the actual game. I finally went out and purchased and the performance of the game far exceeds the demo.
