To all the veterans of the Armed Forces. To the nurses, doctors, policemen, firefighters, EMS personnel, and anyone else in the public service field: Thank you.

I have never been able to serve, a big blow for the kid who from the age of six wanted to be in the military. However I've come to realize there are a lot of ways to serve your country, and I don't think any of you get enough credit, money, or acknowledgement for what you do. Though I am about to embark on a nursing degree, and have been around EMS all my life and seen people die, I haven't dealt with the major horror stories, and I frankly don't know how you all do it.

Thank you for keeping our countries free.
Thank you for your sacrifices, for missing time with your families and loved ones so that we may enjoy time with ours.
Thank you for helping to care for our loved ones when they need it.
Thank you for keeping the streets a little safer at night.
Thank you for being you. If I ever meet any of you in person, I'll buy you all the beer you want that night (or whatever else you want to drink.)

I'm proud to live in a world that has people like you.

All right, sweethearts, what are you waiting for? Breakfast in bed? Another glorious day in the corps! A day in the Marine Corps is like a day on the farm. Every meal's a banquet! Every paycheck a fortune! Every formation a parade! I LOVE the corps!
