Hi, well, i just said if he had a special question, he might also ask at the OFF official forum. I did not even post a link, and explained exactly and lengthy what he had to do to get the Tac screen on, and off. I was joking about CFS3's preprogrammed buttons, which i find awkward, but they can all be easily changed. Hmm greetings, Catfish

Well I've posted a link. But I don't understand how this break the rules. Even though, if this is the case, they shouldn't have deleted the all post but explain and invite the "offender" poster to edit the post.

I wandered by the "club" today to see if there were any subsequent comments to the lively exchange. To My Surprise, I could only find Mr. Catfishes question. I do not know what happened to me. Am I banished to serve in the Blue Legion? I have not received any PM or personal email explaining to me what happened to me. Maybe when the TAC disappeared I lost all my SimHQ identity. Maybe I do have to "check six"

" ... Maybe I do have to "check six" ..." Just because you are paranoid, does not mean they are not after you .. lol
Greetings, Catfish

I have not been deleted "with prejudice". I am here. I did obtain your mostly kindly advice Mr. Catfish. And I did enroll in that other secret society which we will never mention. I am now on a WWI whirl. I tried my RedBaron3D, both my FullCanvasJacket and Hell's Angels installations. The shells work, but XP has once again robbed them of noise makers. I threw a thread, so far no responses.
As for The Blue Legion. Mr. VonPaulus would know them as they are from his close geography. They were the very sad, brave, squandered Spaniards (volunteers) fighting with other Axis troops in the north sector (Leningrad) during WWII.
If you should ever find out what happened to me, let me know. I thought the discussion lively and most informative for myself and I would trust others unaware of the secret combinations of the M$ gaming keyboard.

There were also Portuguese volunteers in the Blue Legion. Edit: The thread that vanished is now on again.

Hello,
thinking of RedBaron, and sound, i remember having problems myself once, but i got it all working. I can now start RB with Polovski's "Hell's Angels" patch as well as with the "Full Canvas Jacket" from Kess, and all works, including sound and joystick, with XP. I guess you know this "run as Win98/95 application" thingie in XP, in properties (right-click at the RB Start button).
I remember having problems with my joystick, which was a Logitech back then - unplugging and plugging it in again solved this special problem, there was sudenly sound, AND a working joystick. However rudder control vanished miraculously with the Logitech again and again. GabiLaser (Laser here at this forum) may probably also be able to help you.
All my problems vanished, when my B17 was shot down by some Bf109s, my immersive FFB Logitech joystick suddenly began to smoke and develop a very bad shtink, until my trusty fortress became uncontrollable. After jumping out i soon bought a Saitek, which i have since 7+ years.
Greetings, Catfish
P.S thanks for the Blue Legion info, i have never heard of that. Must have been Franco-sympathizers ?

Glad you are well and learning the sad history of the Iberian penninsula in the 1930s and 1940s. The state of the Spanish and Portugese volunteers by 1943 was leading to domestic problems for Franco, as the troops were treated as second citizens and unmotivated by the German military leadership. What remained was eventually called back in 1944 before the seige of Lenningrad ended. It is a sad story.
As for RedBaron, you are right. I had forgotten to modify the executable attributes profile to relect either WIN95 or WIN98 as Redbaron was first a WIN95 product that was "somewhat" enhanced in its 3D generation with WIN98 compliance. I did try this fix, but it did not resolve anything, however. I had taken my sound rant to the RedBaron secton and recieved some very good help today with a 'RB3D_ReLoad_1.166.zip' patch. See my rantings in the post for more information.
