There was a 'brown drab' paint that was used in 1943-44 and a bit into 1945. It ranged from a coffee-light (cocco) to slightly darker than the one I am using. It was left on the nose of the natural metal birds as an anti-glare color. Almost all of the color prints I've found for the 4th use these shades. The lighter shades are from rapid aging of the paint. Now there will be one greener 'b but the illustration looks like it was patched with a more traditionalk olive drab than painted entirely. Finally, the camo was stripped off of quite a few of the planes left only selective spots like the nose. wave
