This Saturday, we will test out the multiplayer in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2... that will give you 4 days to do the SP campign...if you wish... then dive into team play multiplay.

Be online with the game running for a invite at Noon Eastern... I'll invite to the party and we'll go from there.

Will this be a private room or open to the public? What game types do you have in mind?

I vote for private. But I'll play public matches until than so I can have some cool stuff.

If we can get at least 8 or 10 then private is fine with me, if it's less we just party up and play pubs. Either way count me in.

Hopefully the party join feature is working... we then can join in a ranked/points server together... the first 3 months is always the best, even on open servers... because most everyone is new, and most are playing the game not exploiting the weaknesses... yet.

I'm sure the matchmaking will be the same as it was in 4, if not improved. Hopefully the matchmaking servers are beefy enough to handle the load. CoD4 was the best selling FPS of all time, I wonder if this will beat it.

I just hope it doesn't screw up Live for a month again like last time.
New graphics card tomorrow, so I won't be around to know for a few days while I'm breaking that in. LOL

I'm looking forward to Saturday and returning to S3 with this title. Life has been hectic with a seven month old, but I still get some gaming in during my downtime. I cleared things with my wife and will be ready to go at noon. Hooah!

Ya those midnight runs for a game can be a blast

I was considering taking off at midnight and getting my copy, but then with the wife and kids sleeping, I couldn't play it loud, which could take the fun out... so I'll wait till 10 AM tomorrow and play while they are at work/school. lol

I did play 6 hours of FM3 today, since I knew I would be shelving it for a week or so, give or take.

Seems you are allowed to have party chat on while playing Ground War (domination and tdm) on public servers, so if we go online, we can be in party chat if we choose ground war.

17 is too many, the prestige edition isn't that rare. I got it and mine is number 127 thousand something.

I didn't have enough AA batteries around so I can't review my fancy new NVG's for you guys.

Just FYI... I will create a party and invite those on my friends list that have the game running at Noon...

If we have 9 or less then our party will be able to join a ranked match on the same team... if we have more then 9 it will create a room, split the team and allow outsiders in... certain game modes, like Seek & Destroy only allow 6 vs. 6... so those Will be grayed out IF we have too many...

We can NOT host a private match and get rank and perks, so I really don't want to do that now... I more want to explore the game modes, the maps, and get some unlocks... so most likely we will do a open server, hopefully we can be all on one side.

I'm really going to try and get in on this. I'm hoping I can convince my wife to go out with the little guy. It will be nice to play with a large group of ADULTS for a change. I've been playing some online publicly and because IW has no party chat support, we are forced to listen to the absolute nonsense from other players online. WHAT A DRAG!!!

But oh well, if I want to play, I guess its the price I have to pay.

You can set your chat privacy to friends only or unplug your mic and play mercenary TDM, that's what I do when I'm lone wolfing.

Yeah if I'm playing alone, I never use my mic. I know that upsets a lot of people but hey, they upset me when the mic is plugged in so that evens out the playing field.

However, I did not know about the "friends only" setting. Very helpful. Thanks Jeevz

BTW I look forward to gaming with you at some point. I noticed you were on a couple of times but I didn't want to interrupt your single player campaign.

I'm finished the campaign I was just working on it on veteran last night. If you see me on and playing don't hestiate to shoot me an invite if you want to play MP. If I'm not wanting to play online I'll be set to away or busy.

Good games today guys, it was fun having a full party in ground war even with a few hiccups trying to get all 9 to stay together.

Had a LOT of fun today. This is the most I've played in one day in a LOOOONG time. I figure I played about 8.5 hours today. Just insane. Added a new friend to my friend's list today (kc924s). This guy would be right at home playing with us. Used team tactics, calling out targets, directing traffic, offering support. He was definitely one of us. Next time I hook up with him I'll be sure to tell him about SimHQ.

I moved up about 5-6 levels in rank today. Very productive day (though my wife would beg to differ. HA).

With all the perks, emblems, weapon upgrades, etc., this game just keeps you coming back for more.

Had a lot of fun stealing the other team's airdrop and using it against them. Man, I LOVE doing that.

Even in matches when you get your butt completely handed to you there is usually one or two outstanding moments that make it all worth while.

Can't wait to play again tomorrow! LOL!
