I ended up searching the registry for all references to "Nv" ( NOT GeForce ) and placing the new entry in ALL of them. I think I had to put it in 7 or 8 different places before it took effect."

yes, that info IS in the Wiki.......That's where I found it
to fix mine. For XP, every time there was a SP update, I had
to put this fix in again. You also have to put it in again if
you change your video card and drivers, or do a 'recovery'
or system restore.
For me, the registry location was/is as stated.

No, my only point was that it's NOT always in the same place in the registry as the article says.

It works but you may have to experiment.
