The pot in my Cougar throttle just gave up on me, so I need to find a way to fix it.

Does anyone know of some place where I can find replacements? Preferably some solution that is better than the standard pots.

A few years ago, I saw some notes about someone making an improved replacement for the pot. Is this something that is still available? I'd really like to make this thing work again.

You can get pots anywhere, and there are other options for HAL sensor upgrades, but that's getting into expensive stuff..

I put CHProducts pots in mine, thay are rock solid and very precise. Hope that helps.

You can organise replacement pots from Thrustmaster. If you are out of warranty they will charge you a small cost for the part and shipping. I just got an antenna pot for less than $10 for example.

See the instructions on the bottom of this page:

Failing that Red Dog over at the Viperpits.org forums used to sell pre-wired throttle pots matching the originals.

On replacing the pots altogether the solution for that is CubPilots HS1 Hall Sensor Throttle Kit at:

CubPilot can take some time to respond to emails.

Cougar World is temporarily being hosted at http://www.cougar.flyfoxy.com/ for the moment.
Details on there as well regarding replacement pots from Olivier (Red Dog).

Cheers
