I probably should since I work in the healthcare industry..but I'm not planning on it. I never get sick. Can't remember the last time I had a flu..maybe a runny nose or something every 5 or 6 years but never full-blown sickness. And I'm not a germ-a-phobe. I never use those alcohol things..I just wash my hands with soap and water before I eat if I can. I drop marshmallows on the ground and eat off of rocks and logs in the woods all the time..lol..and you should see how filthy my hands get when I'm camping, so I figure I've ingested enough germs to kill a horse and I'm still kicking.
I think the vaccine is safe. I just don't want it.
Consider yourself lucky Chris, I was knocked out by it 5 years ago and it about killed me.
Was to the point I had no idea where I was and delirious from a high fever, had it coming
out both ends for days and highly dehydrated. Took 2 weeks to recover and get back up
without going to the doctor.
Ever since, we have all had flu shots and up to this year we have not been able to get
our shots since the supplies are out here. Have always had my shot by this time. Keep
my hands washed after touching anything and and bark at my son to wash his hands or get
sick.
Hope you stay healthy since I went that route and found myself caught by it without any
idea where it came from. It hit me overnight and was terrible. 3 days solid of it coming
out both ends at the same time. Never thought I would make it. Wife was scared to get me
to move since every time she did I had run again. then drag myself back to bed. Can`t
remember 2 days of it at all.
Never again, it will kill me for sure. She keeps calling to get us the shots but no luck.
