IMO the latest Vista surpasses XP for gaming. From what I've seen of W7 so far it exceeds Vista. I would not be wary of W7 as I was of the initial release of W7. Like it or lump it, W7 is the path forward.

I'm keeping XP on a dual boot setup for a while. I have XP on C and Win 7 on D and it's like having two different computers and works great. And I can share the external and internal 1Tb drives I have between the two OS.
